The story behind Wally-Van
From a personal need to a thought-out concept
Wally-Van grew out of the search of founder Wouter. An aerospace engineer with experience in technical design and computer-controlled manufacturing, he wanted to replace the family car with a compact camper for daily use and big adventures alike.
Together with his family of four he soon noticed that existing compact campers fell short. The bed had to be converted every single time, there was too little practical storage, and functions such as cooking and the toilet were not laid out conveniently for life on a campsite.
It had to be smarter. With his technical background and an out-of-the-box approach, a groundbreaking concept was developed. The result? A unique slide-out window, a fixed bed, maximum storage, an indoor/outdoor kitchen and a flexible layout. After thorough testing during family holidays, the prototype was refined into what it is today. More than 80 Wally-Vans are now on the road across Europe.

High-tech metalworking
The complex parts of our pop-out system are produced on computer-controlled machines by a renowned metalworking company with years of experience in the precision industry.
Traditional sailmaking
The pop-out canvas is made to measure and finished by experienced sailmakers from the watersports sector, ensuring a perfect fit, watertightness and maximum weather resistance.
Extremely precise woodwork
Our modular furniture interior is milled to within a tenth of a millimetre using advanced CNC systems.
Certified conversion partners
The final installation in the van is carried out by professional, experienced camper builders with a passion for the craft.
